Forthcoming Tempest

Standing here on the ridge where I live,
watching the storm clouds darken over the Western Sky,
watching lightning strikes in the distance dance from the clouds,
in stark contrast to the ever darkening sky and landscape,
the warm wind caresses my cheek like a lovers soft touch,
warm and sensual yet strong and firm,
I brush away the first warm droplets of rain, or is that one a warm salty tear
as the lyrics for the Rose by Bette Midler play in my head,
Now feeling the wind pick up and the gusts buffeting Zelda and I as we stand here awaiting for the forthcoming tempest.

Random Thoughts again..

.. (didn’t know I wrote so much did ya.. I keep a lot of me hidden inside, someone told me to share and communicate more, so here is too good advice from a dear friend)

THE ROSE LYRICS
– BETTE MIDLER

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed

It’s the heart, afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream, afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love
In the spring becomes the rose

    • Thank you Grammom,
I was in Ottawa this past weekend thought of you as I rolled by though not enough time for any other get togethers than I was already in. Time well spent for me, maybe the future will bring me at your door. Of course since I read on your food all the time, might beg.. yes beg for a taste of that yummy soup you mentioned before!
      Cheers

So What do you think?
